Komjekejeke means a place where you can live in comfort and abundance, from the word Jekezela, which in isiNdebele means “to live in comfort and abundance”.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Heritage site is CLOSED.

Virtual Nation Builders is SAVING the Heritage Site. In collaboration with Delta Scan, we have initiated processes to digitise the heritage site so that the site will have different avenues of income and fundraising.  We have been hard at work at the site, and have taken the first steps for it to be converted into a photorealistic digital model.  This forms the basis of the experience and the new era of metaverses and 3D spaces that are becoming accessible to anyone anywhere in the world. Virtual Nation Builder’s aim is to recreate the experience of being at the site, being immersed in the culture, the vivid colours in the artwork, the surrounding nature and be able to allow someone anywhere in the world to experience it. By creating a digital version of a site we freeze that experience in time and preserve it in the endless world of the digital age.

The vision is to ensure the Kingdom can continue developing the site to its ultimate potential, so that the Ndebele People, virtual citizens and guests can truly Jekezela (live in comfort and abundance) at Komjekejeke.

Delta Scan’s digital capture process

The Komjekejeke Heritage Site is going to be converted into a photorealistic digital model, or as some refer to as a “digital twin”. This forms the basis of the experience and the new era of metaverses and 3D spaces that are becoming accessible to anyone anywhere in the world.

Our brief was to recreate the experience of being on-site, being immersed in the culture, the vivid colours in the artwork, the surrounding nature and be able to allow someone anywhere in the world to experience it.  By creating a digital version of a site we freeze that experience in time and preserve it in the endless world of the digital age.
